Blog Hop Friday!

>>Friday, November 5, 2010

Yay! It's Friday and that means Crazy for Books is hosting the weekly blog hop! It's when people post their book blogs so we can network and discover other blogs who share our interests.

Today's question is: What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?

I think it's inevitable that you lose some followers for reasons like they just aren't interested in your blog content anymore, or they're cleaning up their lists. I don't take it personally because everyone has their reasons. What I hope is that people don't follow just for a special giveaway and then quit right after - at least give us a chance!

I never stopped following a blog yet, but I would consider it if the blog totally changed its theme and no longer interested me, or was abandoned and there were no more updates.

  1. i'm with you -blogs change, people change, how much free time we have changes. if someone follows you and then changes their mind, i don't see why it's a big deal.

  2. I also agree -- sometimes, blogs change, and I find I'm just not reading them as much. When that happens, I think it's only fair to un-follow.

Looking forward to your upcoming reviews, especially of Black & White. :)

  3. Hello,
I'm making my rounds on the Blog Hop and Follow Friday too say hello and share the love. I really try to be a faithful follower that visits often but I don't always have the time to comment like I should. I hope you have a spectacular weekend and Happy Reading.

    I'm a old follower.

  4. I'm with you! I wouldn't take it personally at all. I've unfollowed some for the same reasons that you have, but they have been few and far between, as I don't follow everyone I visit! Heck, I don't even follow everyone I visit on a regular basis! Sometimes it doesn't even cross my mind that I haven't hit that "Follow" button!

BTW, I'm going to participate in the Steampunk Challenge, too! Just have to get the books! I'm planning to start with The Parasol Protectorate series and then go to Westerfield's Leviathan and Behemoth!

  5. Thanks everyone for visiting!

@jewelknits: Yay for the Steampunk challenge! I've read Soulless (although I did before I had a book blog) and really enjoyed it! I think I should reread it and write a review! Have fun :)
