Waiting on Wednesday: The Broken Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin

>>Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Here's my choice for this week's Waiting on Wednesday,  hosted by Breaking the Spine. This is the second book in the Inheritance Trilogy. I read book one, The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms a little while ago and loved it. I also find the covers to these books are so beautiful! I really can't wait for this one!

Title: The Broken Kingdoms
Author: N.K. Jemisin
Publication Date: November 3rd, 2010

From Goodreads:
In the city of Shadow, beneath the World Tree, alleyways shimmer with magic and godlings live hidden among mortalkind. Oree Shoth, a blind artist, takes in a strange homeless man on an impulse. This act of kindness engulfs Oree in a nightmarish conspiracy. Someone, somehow, is murdering godlings, leaving their desecrated bodies all over the city. And Oree's guest is at the heart of it. . .

  3. I've been wanting to read the first book in this series. A second book is always good motivation to actually read it.

what I'm waiting for can be found here.

  4. I have this one on my list as well! I am really excited to get back into this world Nora has created. I am curious to see where she picks up in this one. It seems that our friends from the first book may not be here, but we shall see when we get reading. :)
