About Me

My name is Lisa and I'm the reviewer around here. I started this site after finding other book blogs around the net and deciding I wanted to join the community since I already was reading a lot and wanted to share my thoughts on those books. My favorite genres fall into the speculative fiction category; fantasy and science fiction. I also like historical fiction and young adult books. My interests can span beyond these into graphic novels, manga, comics, non-fiction or regular fiction. I don't try to limit what I read, but expect a lot of speculative fiction reviews from me. In my other spare time I like to watch movies, TV and play video games.

The focus of my reviews on this blog is to give my readers some information about the books I read and why I liked or disliked it. I'm concerned about readability, entertainment value and whether the books are worth buying or not based on these criteria. Other aspects which influence my opinion of books are often related to originality, uniqueness, characterization (especially in regards to female characters) and the take-away value of a book.
